Your Natural Curls

LET'S TALK CURL PATTERNS

If you are a natural curly beauty, then you should embrace Your Natural Curls. Your Natural Curls are very different compared to straight hair and they come in various types. For example: Waves, which are also referred to as an A type are a more straight and lose. “S” patterns which are sometimes called B type, are also easy to style with little effort. Tight coils, ringlets and “Z” patterned curls however, take more effort and product, as well as protective styling methods to enhance the natural curl without causing any damage.

For “Z” patterns, Your Natural Curls will usually be tight springy coils or 4a-c type curls, one should use lots of conditioner and protective styles. Some protective styles for Your Natural Curls include: Bantu Knots, Twist Outs and Braid Outs, these are some very effective styling methods to help get that curl pattern, without the use of harsh chemicals.

I know that we would all prefer wash n go’s rather than and long routine when washing hair, but believe me, all the time spent on pre-styling Your Natural Curls is worthwhile because it produces amazing results. Products containing glycerine, other than silicone, has proven to work much better on certain curl patterns. Glycerine products are also known for not building up the way silicone products do.

Here is a good example of different products for curls as well as pictures of other curlies.

Always remember to use products meant for dry hair, as these will help fight frizz, and at the same time give you the healthy curls you want.

Loving what you have -pt2

If you are use to having textured or other forms of chemical perms put on your hair, then the chances of knowing what your true hair type is, is almost impossible. You will only be able to see what your real hair type is once you take the step to grow it out completely. This does take a large some of guts and will power.
For a long time I used relaxers to straighten my naturally curly hair and this has been all I knew since a young age. As a matter of fact, when my hair started growing out just a little bit, I would relax the new growths. Little did I know of all the damage and trauma I was inflicting on my poor locks. Split ends, extreme dryness and loads of brakeage were some of the scary results I have experienced.
My turning point came at a time I no longer could afford to straighten my hair and I ended up having to let it all grow out. That however, is a story for another time. For now, I just want to share with all my readers how happy I am to be my natural-self.

Love what you have

Love what you have
When we look at hair, we can see that there are many types of hair, from super straight to ultra curly. I have seen many instances where people with straight hair desire to have curly hair and those with curly heads prefer it straight. This has given rise to many forms of hair products that has flooded the markets. Some are promising but have no positive results.
We know that there are various chemicals available to either help temporally, or create a more permanent solution to straighten, or curl hair. However, all these harsh chemicals in the end can only prove to be more damaging than helpful.
Accepting your own hair will not only boost your confidence, but it will also help you save hundreds in the end. Researching and finding ways to take care of what is naturally your own is a step in life you wont regret.   4naturals.com
